Eunice de Souza

Eunice de Souza, born in Pune, is an English language writer of prose and poetry, a theatre director, actress and literary critic. After a degree in English Literature with an MA from Marquette University (Wisconsin, USA) and a PhD from the University of Mumbai, she taught English Literature and was head of department at the  St. Xavier College of Mumbai for more than thirty years, having the most important poets of the  Bombay Circle amongst her students. She has published several collections of poetry, including Women in Dutch painting (1988, translated into Portuguese and Finnish) and, in  2009, A necklace of skulls. She also writes books for children. Dangerlok was her first novel and was followed by  Dev & Simran in 2003.
